In 2018, the Baycrest Foundation partnered with SEALFIT to bring a group of dedicated supporters to San Diego to take part in a custom SEALFIT challenge. This year, we’re bringing it back to Toronto!
If you want to achieve optimal physical and mental health, live with courage, and succeed in whichever area you compete in, Baycrest SEALFIT is for you. The training is demanding yet gratifying, and can be adapted to meet the needs of beginner and advanced athletes alike.
This unique challenge is an experience unlike any other and on top of that, your participation will help support an incredible cause. Funds raised will support Baycrest, a global leader in geriatric residential living, healthcare, research, innovation and education, with a special focus on brain health and aging.
Today, more than 500,000 Canadians live with dementia — a number that is expected to nearly double over the next 15 years. There is no treatment yet for dementia; but Baycrest researchers are focused on finding ways to prevent, detect, and treat dementia to enable positive changes in the lives of people touched by dementia.
What we do know is that building your mental and physical strength not only reduces your dementia risk, but it can also improve your memory and thinking skills, and even reverse some of the damage done to the brain during aging or from brain disorders.
Baycrest SEALFIT is the perfect physical and mental challenge for anyone seeking an incredible experience while also giving back to a cause with impact. It’s a no-brainer. To learn more about the critical funds raised by Baycrest SEALFIT, visit our Impact page.
